V.W. Bro. Doug Bond - Passed to the Grand Lodge Above

Brethern: It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of VW Doug Bond to the Grand Lodge above on May 14th 2020 at Kingston General Hospital. Doug had been in hospital for several weeks awaiting surgery. Doug served as Secretary for Simpson Lodge No. 157 for many years. He also took great pride in administering the monetary awards that Simpson Lodge gave out to graduates of Rideau District Secondary School in Elgin Ont. He would gather the students and their families at the lodge in order to present them with their awards prior to their start at university or college. This gave the students an opportunity to introduce themselves and explain what path their post secondary education would take. Doug was very active in his community serving as the resident historian. His knowledge will be missed in Rideau Lakes. https://thewhig.remembering.ca/obituary/j-douglas-bond-1079210642
