It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our dear brother Lyle Smith to the Grand Lodge Above on Monday night.

W. Bro. Lyle Smith is a Past Master of Maple Leaf Lodge No 119 and his family has requested a Masonic Memorial Service on Lyle’s behalf.

The MMS will be conducted Thursday, April 25th at 6:30PM at Hannah Funeral Home located at 123 Dundas Street West in Napanee.

Please arrive at least 15 mins early for quiet assembly prior to the service.

Passed away, peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee on April 22, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to Judy (nee Chambers) for 60 years. Lyle was the son of the late Roy and Margaret Smith of Adolphustown. Dear father of Darlene Szapira (Tony); Cynthia Lewis (Tim); Barbara Worrow (Kirk); Carolyn Hale (Greg); Glenda Chant; Mark Smith and Jennifer Shea-Thompson (Dean). Cherished grandfather of Amanda; Justin; Glynn; Tyler; Ashley; Jordan; Christopher; Jack; Chelsea; Brandan; Sarah; Kristin; Hannah; Laura; Shelby; Gracey; Lauren and Jillian. Great-grandfather of Kaitlyn; Ashley; Lily; Deaglan; Bryce; Claire; Paige; Parker and Isabel. Loving brother of the late James Smith (Ann); Helen Huff (late Howard); late Edith Huff (Donald); late Jesse (late Audrey and late Rose Smith); late Morley and Mary Smith; and Margaret Whybourne (late Gordon). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lyle was a dedicated farmer, a maple syrup producer and water witcher . He served on the Adolphustown Council, attended Adolphustown United Church and was Chairman of the Adolphustown United Church Cemetery for 58 years. Lyle was a member of Adolphustown South Fredericksburgh Heritage Society. Past Master and member of the Maple Leaf Masonic Lodge No. 119, Bath. Over the years he enjoyed touring with his antique cars and being a member of the ACCC. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Thursday, April 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic Service on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Adolphustown United Church Cemetery, Dorland. Memorial donations (by cheque please) to the Adolphustown U.E.L. United Church Cemetery (Grass Cutting Fund) or the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
